Movie: The Fourth Kind

On Saturday Night we decided to watch The Fourth Kind .  Before you read more, I will spoil the movie if you intend to watch it…otherwise carry on. A major element of this movie was in fact the surprise element of it being based on real events that in fact did NOT occur in reality, but in the reality of the movie.  With that being said this was a freaky movie, obviously if you go into the movie not knowing that it is based on real reality versus movie reality, then its more intense.  Regardless, the movie is recalling the tales of an alien abduction and a kidnapping.  I jumped at the scene when the dude was in the bed and he snapped up and started to rise.  I like the tie in with an ancient language and the reality footage added some intensity of the movie.  However, the give away for me that it was a fictional tale, lied in the credits…they didn’t publish the typical thanks to blah, blah for the footage type stuff.  The acting is really secondary to the whole plot and it didn’t really make a difference who starred in the film. Deep Thoughts: Obviously we are NOT the only life in the entire universe, but what other life exists?  Would visitors make themselves known or remain hidden?  Is it coincidence that soo many of these abduction stories exist? Likes: The reality footage of the hypnosis sessions, the setup (reality and re-enactment) of the story, having an alibi/backup/video footage of this type of stuff Dislikes: People that you can’t convince what you know is true (We’re all human but sometimes people don’t listen to words, they only make judgements), People that see things that they can’t believe and refuse to believe they in fact saw it. I’ll give it a 5/10, it was a good movie and it freaked me out a little and I had to research more about the movie.  What a good setup…
