In the past month I watched some movies…and didn’t write any commentary, so I’m catching up. We did watch Easy A , starring Emma Stone (great). It was a twisted high school romantic comedy of sorts. I really enjoyed the witty Olive , but I don’t understand how she didn’t pick up on Woodchuck Todd flirting with her the whole movie…until the end when the get together. This movie should also help to serve as a reminder how quickly rumors can spread from people overhearing an exaggerated tale, this would probably happen in an office environment too. Emma Stone was great (good in Zombieland too!), her delivery was good and the character matched her style. At first I didn’t think that Amanda Bynes was in the movie, I thought it was a look alike…but it was her just more cherub like, regardless not a good fit character wise. Thomas Church , the guy from Wings , did a great job as well as his high school boy cheating wife, played by Lisa Kudrow …playing the stereotypical role for her (and not much of an acting difference since the Friends days too!). Overall I thought it was a good movie with a lot of funny scenes. Deep Thought: Many of the things we do helps build our personality, but its society that places the things we do in the good and bad categories. How many people does it take to form a society? Is the number relative to the entire population of a neighborhood, city, county, state, region, country? Likes: Emma Stone (she’s easy on the eyes and funny!), guys coming out of the woodwork to get with Olive , the bedroom scene at the party Dislikes: Lying to your best friend (it didn’t really match Olive ‘s character), snobby hater group disguised by religious affiliations, forceful guys (no means no, especially after a face slap!) I’ll give the movie a 8/10, it had quite a few funny scenes and Emma was great!
