We watched The Social Network over this weekend. I think it was an OK thinking movie. The downside was the way the story was told bouncing between two lawsuits and the back story to establish what occurred. Obviously its a movie and an interpretation of a person’s life, I would have to think some of the story was exaggerated, but only Mark Zuckerberg knows the truth. I enjoyed the NiN instrumentals, I thought they heightened the plot and seemed to be a precursor to Mark’s deep thoughts. Here is mine, without a cool NiN soundtrack … Deep Thought: Have you ever taken an idea and spun it so that it was your idea (at least in your head) and felt it was defend-able from all angles? This is called living a lie, or you have just abstracted yourself out of life… Likes: NiN , The two characters Erica Albright and Marylin Delpy (“You’re an A-hole, and “You’re not really an A-hole, but you tried so hard to be one”, Winklevi (the twins) Dislikes: Computer talk (no one talks like that…it just makes the movie have a more geekie feel), Jerks that push others away because they have inferiority complexes I’ll give it a 6/10, it was entertaining but not great.
