Sometime in early December I watched The Virginity Hit . I was pretty surprised, it was decent. Its a story about a boy whose mother dies of cancer and requests the son’s best friend’s parents raise him because his dad is a deadbeat drunk. His best friends decide to use a bong to celebrate when each of them looses their virginity. And the comedy begins when the main character is the last one. He meets a great girl and they are ready to take the next step, and then he finds out she cheated on him and he collaborates with his buddies and decides to tape it and exploit her somehow. It pretty much backfires when he has a bathroom issue and he tells her. He spends the rest of the movie trying to loose his virginity to a “mom” (who ends up being a student running a social experiment), a porn star and maybe his step-sister. Then he decides, he really loves his original girl friend and tries to get back together…blah, blah…happy, happy…hit. Deep Thought: Why is soo much value placed on loosing your virginity for boys and keeping it for girls? Is this a good versus evil battle in our social world? Likes: Drunk Dad’s house, The social experiment girl, A movie cast that uses there first name in a movie Dislikes: The social experiment (I would NOT want this to happen to me, but its funny), deadbeat dad’s (why are they?) I liked the movie, I’m giving it a 6/10.
